The new coronavirus is a respiratory virus which spreads primarily through
- droplets generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes or talks.
- droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose.
FACT- The new coronavirus CANNOT be transmitted through mosquito bites.
TO PROTECT YOURSELF
- clean your hands frequently with an alcohol-based hand rub that contains at least 60% alcohol.
- wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- Keep at least a 6-feet distance (about 2 arms length) from others.
- Wear a mask.
WEAR YOUR MASK CORRECTLY
Put the mask over your nose and mouth and secure it under your chin. It should snugly fit against the sides of your face.
Do not touch the mask. If you do, wash your hands or use hand sanitiser.
NOTE - CDC does not recommend masks with an exhalation valve or vent.
CLINIC POLICY - Unwell accompanying persons and visitors will NOT be allowed to enter the clinic.
Only 1 accompanying person is allowed with the patient visiting the clinic.
Older adults and people who have underlying medical conditions like heart/lung disease or diabetes must refrain from coming to the clinic. They may consult the doctor on phone before scheduling an appointment.
